Page, Ariz. (July 11, 2012) - Exciting changes are happening at Lake Powell this summer. On July 25, Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas will open its new restaurant, Latitude 37. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served at the restaurant, along with wide variety of appetizers and milkshakes. Located at the Wahweap Marina, Latitude 37 is accessible from both the land and water, with temporary slips available for boaters looking to satiate their hunger.
“Latitude 37 is the new premier dining experience at Lake Powell,” said Eric Johnson, vice president of operations for Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas. “Guests at Lake Powell will enjoy an enhanced experience with a new, fun food selection in one of the most beautiful settings in the Southwest.”
The restaurant was designed to take full advantage of the extraordinary scenic beauty of Lake Powell, with its indoor and outdoor seating. Inside, guests will find simple, contemporary décor with seating for approximately 50. The brown hues in the stone tiles combined with the warm modern lighting inside the restaurant complement the lake’s beautiful sandstone cliffs and buttes.
The rooftop balcony is just as stunning with sweeping views of Wahweap Bay and such iconic landmarks as Castle Rock and Navajo Mountain. With seating for 46, the balcony is an ideal spot to grab a bite or a cocktail. Half of the balcony is shaded and features deep-seated patio furniture, perfect for lounging, as well as tables.
The talented Chef Matt Smith at Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas has developed a deliciously robust menu at Latitude 37. Diners will feast on such selections as Smoked Brisket Nachos, the Black and Blue Chicken Burger and the Smokey Southwest Portobello Mushroom Sandwich. For dessert, they can choose from a wide variety of milkshakes including the Berry Patch with strawberry ice cream and muddled fresh berries, the Mudslide with coffee ice cream, Oreo crumbs and chocolate syrup as well as the Peanut-Banana-Marshmallow shake.
